This project began with the realization of the poster for the Earth Day SF event. The concept under the graphic art is simple: inspired on the main logo of the event, I draw three trees with circular bushes on top. Textured sky and sea frame the center piece and on bottom the perimeter of the San Francisco Peninsula take the threes, the color green is fundamental on the bottom and center pieces to encourage the eco-friendly feel the event gives.
The tree bushes have a rugged paper texture emphasizing the recycling activity, very popular within the eco-culture. The hard floor texture on the peninsula shape contrast with the green, making them work together giving the message it is possible to have a green city.
To the left, we have the poster on context: it has to be cheerful and friendly. We achieve this by using warm colors on the first plane, not taking importance from the coolness of the objects on second plane and background.
