I’m a fulltime experimentist. I love red in small doses. I get the gamine look every three years. I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico on november 2nd, 1986, and I live in the California’s Bay Area now. 

I was interested in arts ever since I was little kid, therefore my background is in Visual Arts major by the University of Guadalajara, I graduated on winter of 2009. I also studied Art History at the Paris-Sorbonne University in the fall of 2007. Since then I’ve collaborated with illustrations with the arts and poetry french magazine À verse. I’ve also given drawing classes for kids and teens, and I used to teach and art appreciation courses for teens. I also do digital photography as a hobby. Nowadays I’m interested in the new technologies, learning visual and web design and digital illustration to incorporate those tools to my work.

I’m passionate about aesthetics and functional systems that can actually work. I think design is the best way to combine these two branches and has the best of two worlds, that’s why I decided to step onto this path. I love to know how things work and I’m always thinking of ways to improve what’s already done, that way I get to learn more from the process and invent my own circuits and systems. On the other hand, I’m fascinated with the look of things, I love to try new colors, shapes, composition or type until I make everything work together in beautiful symbiosis; and I tend to make it fun too.I believe there’s never rest to improve image on a piece of art, illustration, photograph or design. And I also believe in the power of evolution of image, it has to grow with time, until it gets timeless, and even so, evolution is everything.I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to try many positions in my career: from student to teacher, from solo freelance illustrator to art director and team leader curator, and I adjust well to change. I’m always up to learn new ways and I’m pretty enthusiastic about it. I’m an awesome team player. I like big ideas, I love when I have them, but I can support, enhance and execute my coworkers too, I don’t care about credit, I just want my team to win; I live to succeed in big challenges.

Right now I’m learning to build workflows and wireframes, HTML, CSS and JS. I recently became very passionate about software UI, I love consistency of look and feel in an app and I found an opportunity to work on the appearance of clients app. My drive and motto of life is to keep learning, always, to learn is to evolve, as I said before, evolution is everything, either you evolve or you die.
